THE BESPOKE PROCESS
At Banshee of Savile Row we provide beautifully crafted bespoke clothing for women. From traditional suits, jackets, overcoats and trousers to individual separates, all of our garments are made using time honoured bespoke methods of construction.
The process begins with an initial consultation, continues through an intermediate fitting, resulting in unique and beautifully finished bespoke garments. Watch our series of short videos below, to find out more about each stage.
STEP ONE: YOUR DESIGN CONSULTATION
When you join us on Savile Row for your consultation, we start your bespoke design from the ground up. We discuss fabrics, colours, designs and details. Everything from the overall cut of the piece, to the finer details such as the width of the lapel and the angle of the pockets. Our team will guide you through all the options, from the best fabrics (chosen from thousands for you to see) right down to buttons and linings.
STEP TWO: YOUR UNIQUE MEASUREMENTS
Bespoke really does mean bespoke. We take between fifteen and thirty of your measurements in order to create your own unique pattern. Your pattern is unique to your shape, but we can still play with all the design details every time you create something new. We always keep each clients pattern, and we can refine and adjust it to your wishes with each new creation.
STEP THREE: YOUR TOILE FITTING
After approximately four weeks your garment is now ready as a toile, in a test cloth to make sure we have created an excellent unique pattern for you. Any changes to your pattern can now be made, which we apply directly to your pattern. Striving for perfection at this early stage ensures that the final garment is perfectly cut.
STEP FOUR: YOUR BANSHEE
Approximately six to eight weeks after your toile fitting, your garment has been handmade for you. We do a final fitting and may do some final adjustments.
At this point you have fallen in love and start dreaming of your next bespoke piece. Here is the best bit… As we constantly update your bespoke pattern throughout the process, it means the next piece you order is even easier. All you have to do is chose the design and fabrics, and we will make it for you.
